Eulalie J. Brown

Art is my emotional response to the world around me. It is a fusion of my interpretation of the subject and the exploration of the art medium. I want to release the spirit or emotion, the essence, of the subject through my personal interpretation.  Sometimes I experience more success with this then other times, but I always love the journey that is called art.

I enjoy using fluid paints to express these ideas. I often layer watercolors or acrylics to create depth and transparency.  I like to charge in color to excite the eye and use marks and textures to connect the painting. Drawing with graphite pencils, chalks and oil crayons creates lines and movement in my work. I like to explore new media and possibilities.

I have gained some recognition for my computer art and digital photography. I love to layer images and create dramatic contrasts in my work. I also like my art images to have a story – I guess that is my expression --- a fragment of life.

I find being a member of the Bridge Gallery challenges my resources and creativity. The group is encouraging and supportive.
