Debra Brewster

Art has always been an important part of Debra Brewster’s life, as she has been making art as far back as she can remember.  Some of her earliest memories as a young child are from visits to the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts with her Dad.  She credits her art appreciative parents for encouraging her artistic development and taking her to art museums across the United States and Europe.  Debra received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the Meadows School of Art at Southern Methodist University where during her senior year she was awarded a teaching assistantship and taught two semesters of figure drawing.  Debra has been an art teacher for the last 15 years in Manitou Springs School District 14 where she enjoys sharing her passion of making art with students.  

Debra has been a member of the Bridge Gallery in Colorado Springs for the past year.  She enjoys participating in the group theme shows as it constantly provides a challenge. Her art is ever evolving with varied media.  She works in 2D with oils, watercolor, pastels, collage, printmaking, and digital photography.
