“Unique, small, and the best” are
the three words used to describe the Bridge Gallery. Our cooperative
art gallery is located in the Depot Arts building which lies beneath
a highway bridge in the old, historic, industrial, part of downtown Colorado
Springs, Colorado.
The Bridge Gallery is
the oldest contemporary fine artist’s cooperative in Colorado Springs;
first started in 1993. The members are professional artists, graphic
designers and art teachers.
New ART shows open the First Friday of
every month, alternating between a group art show one month and an individual
member artist show the next. The Bridge Art Gallery group art shows have
a challenging theme selected by the cooperative members. Each artist
interprets that theme in their own choice of art medium and style of
expression. Art work is always innovative, often surprising, and incredibly
good. Art media might be painting in oils, watercolors and acrylic. Other
art media includes photography, printmaking, 3 - dimensional work, installations,
digital art, clay ceramics, and anything else that works.
What is important to these artists is that each one strives to be creative
and produce the very best art they can.
All art work at the Bridge Art Gallery in Colorado Springs is original
fine art.
Many of Colorado Springs finest artists are members of the Bridge Art
Gallery or have been participating members of the Bridge Art Gallery.
